My All Time Favourite Skincare Products

Hey lovelies,

Today I thought I'd feature my all time favourite skincare products that as of yet I will continually repurchase as I so far find these are the best of the best. Especially, as I beauty blog I do try a wide range of skincare so it does take a lot for a product to stand out to me and get me to repurchase.

1. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm (My review | Link) | Link - I've adored this stuff ever since my very first purchase way, way back in 2009 and since then continuously go back to this every single time, no matter what balm I've previously tried this stuff always comes out on top. This is great for all skin types of all ages and I recommend it to anyone that wants clear, healthy skin.
2. Clarisonic Mia 2 | Link - This isn't photographed above but is a product I've now owned for about 2-3 years and can't really imagine my skin without it. It honestly made such a dramatic difference to my skin and I notice a difference straight away when I stop using it. I have a review upcoming for this in the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out, as it will also feature my review on the decongested clarisonic set. 
3. Origins Drink Up Intensive and Origins Drink Up Face Masks | Link - These two are honestly great and I continuously use these interchangeably. I prefer the intensive more during the winter months and the general Drink Up during the summer when my skin isn't as dehydrated. I also think these are fab to use on long plane flights where your skin always gets a bit dry and yucky. 
4. Caudalie Beauty Elixr (My review | Link) | Link - This skin beautifying spray is perfect all year round, but especially during the summer when your skin needs a quick refresh. I adore using this in so many different ways from using it as my toner in the morning with my skincare routine, using it as a primer for my foundation, using it to set my makeup and to give it a more natural/glowy look or to even refresh my face throughout the day. Overall, this is just a great product that smells delightful and I get along with perfectly.
5. Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate | Link - This oil is beautiful and smells absolutely amazing, I've had this for about a year now and I've still got more than 3/4 of the bottle left! Which is amazing to say I use it nearly 3-4 times a week. I've got a post upcoming of a review of this oil that will be going up soon so check that out to find out more and how to use it.
6. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + | Link - This has been a staple in my skincare for so long I can barely remember what it was like not to use this. The Effaclar Duo is another great product to use in many different ways, from as a light daytime moisturiser, a spot treatment or a primer. This works even for the most sensitive of skin types so if you're more on the dry side, don't hesitate!
7. Origins A Perfect World Moisturiser | Link - I love this stuff so much!! This is my first ever jar of this coca-cola smelling moisturiser and I can already confidently say that it won't be my last. I use it as a nighttime mosituriser and adore the effect it leaves on my skin for the next day. It's softer, smoother and hydrated. 
8. Pixi Glow Tonic | Link - This chemical exfoliator is perfect for absolutely any skin type. It's designed to resurface and revitalise the skin whilst also soothing this skin. Therefore, resulting in glowing, luminous, smooth skin. The likes of infamous Caroline Hiron's adores this product, which just shows how much this is a must have for anyones skincare stash.
9. Bioderma Sensibo H20 | Link - My must have product for taking off any and all eye make up, and the addition of the rest of my make up, It's perfect because it gets everything off without me having to tug my skin nor does it irritate it.

My Current Beauty Wish List

Hey lovelies,

Today I thought I'd do a quick post featuring the current things I've been dying to purchase. I'm trying to stick to making wishlist's and then only buying products off of those, to prevent me splurging on things I may desire at the time but 10 minutes later realise I didn't even really want!

1. Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum | Link - I've been dying to purchase my first ever serum and this one seems like the perfect choice. So many people rave about this and the effects it gives on the skin.
2. LUSH Eau Roma Water | Link - I love spray on toners and the refreshing feel they give - so this is next up on my hit list. This is also perfect for when the days start to get a little hotter and you need something to cool and calm your face down.
3. Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask | Link - I've already tried the 10 minute version of this and absolutely adore it, so I'm excited to compare this one to the quicker version.
4. The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner | Link - After all the harsh conditions of winter are finally starting to pass, my skin has gone into complete breakdown mode. Therefore, I'm hoping this calms my skin down and helps with the daily redness I struggle with.
5. Benefit Gimmie Brow | Link - Everyone constantly raves about this and after trying a few drugstore brow gels I'm highly optimistic that this will be as good as the hype surrounding it suggests.
6. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion | Link - I have an awful collection of blackheads around my nose and no matter what I use they always seem to stay, so I'm hoping this may win the battle of the blackheads (sorry I couldn't help myself).
7. Soap and Glory Trick and Treatment | Link - I've been dying to try this out, due to it covering my awful dark circles and hopefully treat/improve them at the same time.
8. Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash and Body Scrub | Link 1 and Link 2 - I adore the smell of this product and have previously used both of these and loved them! 
9. Nip + Fab CC Cream | Link - I adore a good CC cream especially for a light coverage for days I'm not feeling like wearing much makeup. They're especially great for when I'm on holiday and I don't need as much coverage as I do back home, without a tan. It also has SPF 30 which is great for a drugstore product, especially as lighter skins need a higher SPF coverage. 
10. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation | Link - I've been dying to try a Bobbi Brown foundation and this particular one has received such great reviews. 
11. Chanel Tan De Soleil | Link - This has been on my wishlist for so long! Especially, after trying the Bourjois drugstore dupe for it I'm eager to get my paws on this one and compare the two!
12. Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara | Link - I'm on the final end of all the mascaras I own and one of my all time favourite mascaras is the original Max Factor False Lash Effect and I love it! So, I'd love to try this new and improved version!

Origins Clear Improvements Mask Review

Today I thought I'd do a review on the popular Origins 'Clear Improvements' mask. It retails at a price of £23, which puts it in the more higher end of skincare. Although, I do believe the price isn't unfair compared to how much product you get. If you don't know much about Origins, it's a brand that promotes products containing natural plants, oils and products that contain thorough scientific research and technology on getting the best product for you. Origin's are known worldwide for their masks and supported from the likes of Tanya Burr,  I was easily sold on buying them. I bought this mask a good while back now so have been able to use it multiple times and gain as deep an understanding as possible.

The Basics

This mask is recommend for skin containing clogged pores, i.e blackheads. It contains charcoal, white china clay and lecithin all designed to draw out impurities and absorbs environmental pollutants.

How to use?

Origins recommend using this once a week, after cleansing. Open your pores with a warm, damp towel and then layer the mask on, Leave it to dry - mine took between 5 to 10 minutes depending on how thickly I had applied the mask. Then rinse off the mask well with mildly warm water. 

The Review

Overall, I sadly wasn't majorly impressed with this mask. After using this multiple times I've not really seen a noticeable difference - sometimes it would draw out impurities and I'd wake up with a few spots in the morning. So, I wouldn't recommend using it the night before an important event. It also didn't decrease any of my blackheads that are collected around my nose, if anything I feel the colour of the mask (grey) ended up exaggerating my blackheads. I find it does leave my skin quite tight and dry in places (as clay masks usually do) so I don't recommend for dry skin types. When I applied the mask I would leave my skin free of the product due to me having quite dehydrated/dry cheeks because of my fussy combination skin type.

But, before I get completely Negative Nellie, I must admit the product is definitely good value for money as such a small amount goes an extremely long way. I could get away with using a pound coin-sized amount for the whole of my face. Also, it dries extremely quickly so you aren't sat around waiting ages for it to dry! Also, I don't mind the smell either. Furthermore, it's super simple and easy to use, and I adore the packaging - purely because you can easily determine how much product you have left and can easily dispense the product to the exact amount you desire.

Overall, I don't think I will repurchase this mask. As even though the mask isn't awful, I purely just don't see the point in buying a mask that doesn't deliver the results I desire. I will be purchasing the Aesop Parsley Seed Masque.

My Wish List

Hey lovelies,
I thought I'd jusy upload a wish list of the things I've been dying to get my hands on recently.

My Wish List by victorialouise-x featuring Maybelline

1. Origins Ginzing Eye Refreshing Cream, £23. Now I do realise this is majorly pricey but the previous eye cream I've been using has literally been doing nothing for me so I thought I'd finally venture out into the higher priced world and give those a whirl. Especially as this is extremely well known for being good - so fingers crossed!
2. Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner, £25. Ever since Tanya Burr mentioned this I've been dying to get my hands on it, especially as I have the same skin type as her and find that my toners either do nothing or are really strong and end up stinging my skin. Yet another high priced product and the first ever expensive toner for me.
3. Maybelline New York Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner in Black, £5.99. This will be a repurchase for me as I love this eyeliner as it's a strong black and the nib is so fine and easy to use - a strong recommendation for eyeliner beginners.
4. Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil in Zero and Whiskey, £12. I really need a new black eyeliner pencil and these are notoriously known for being one of the best, even more so, how could I turn down a double ended one?!
5. St Ives Gentle Apricot Scrub (for sensitive skin), £2.14. I've nearly ran out of my exfoliator and have been really desperate to try this due to it being made for sensitive skin which is perfect for me as nearly every exfoliator I use upsets my skin.
6. Benefit High Brow, £15. Ever since I've started to pay more attention to my brows the more I've become obsessed with the products you can buy for them and this is the next on my hit list.
7. Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub, £8. I fell in love with this smell after using the sugar crush shower gel and now I must get my hands on the body scrub as I can't get enough of this gorgeous, sweet smell!
