The Body Jewellery Shop

Today I thought I'd do a review on some earrings I was sent for review from The Body Jewellery Shop.

When it comes to jewellery the one staple item I always wear are earrings - they're easy to wear, they don't get tangled in your hair *cough cough* necklaces, they can be small and simplistic or make a statement. So, when I was sent these earrings I was so excited! As even though it's the only piercing I currently have (emphasis on the currently) I adore wearing different ones, choosing ones to match my outfit or just going through phases of wearing simple, sophisticated studs.

The Body Jewellery Shop brand is an online store that sells jewellery online, from the likes of studs, naval accessories and even tunnels and plugs. So, honestly you're spoilt for choice and it definitely caters for every piercing you could think of! Especially, ear piercing jewellery has such a wide collection that if anything it was overwhelming choosing earrings, and for such cheap prices how could you resist?!

My Clear Jewelled Studs (£1.99) are perfect for a simple, no-fuss, choice that would compliment any outfit and could be easy to match with a simple necklace or with extra piercings. These are my favourite out of the three I own, mainly because they're so easy to wear and I can sleep in them with no issue, if I forget to take them out - a.k.a every night.

The next two are also simple but are also still beautiful. The Silver Glitter Studs (£1.99) I've received so many compliments on when wearing, purely because they sparkle so beautifully in natural light and shine. You can see these are an extremely popular pair due to currently being out of stock online. So when they next become available I definitely recommend buying them straight away!

My third pair of some White Pearl Studs (£1.99) and are a classic earring to wear when you're possibly feeling a bit fancy. They're great I find to wear when you have your hair up, or pulled back as they really give a regal feel to your outfit when noticeable. 

All for £1.99 from The Body Jewellery Shop I honestly can't think of one reason to not buy them! And if you are feeling something a bit more adventurous, with prices so cheap and affordable for such good quality products I say why not!

Skincare & Body Care Favourites

Hey everyone!

I'd just like to apologise for not updating but quite a bit has been going on in my personal life so I've honestly not had time. But I thought I'd start off by posting my favourite skincare and body care products I've been loving for the past couple of months and items I took on holiday with me and really enjoyed using. Skincare

Firstly is skincare and there has been four products that I have honestly become obsessed with for a while. Two of these products are from the Body Shop, the first is the 'Camomile Waterproof Eye Make-Up Remover' this was really helpful on holiday as I was regularly using waterproof mascara, which is always a nightmare to take off! That was until this savior in a bottle swooped in and saved the day. It's soothing, creamy, removes my eye make-up easily and doesn't irritate my eye which most make-up removers do. Sadly the Body Shop has just recently redesigned the make-up remover, but the packaging looks much prettier. So, if you want to try it out just click here. Secondly, from the Body Shop is the 'Vitamin E Eye Cream' which is supposed to smooth, hydrate and protect the delicate skin around your eyes. I can fully agree with that statement. Also, even though it may seem tiny this has lasted me since March and there is still plenty left and I use it morning and evening so it's definitely got a fair amount of product for price. Next, I've been loving the Clean and Clear 'Morning Energy - Shine Control' face wash. It contains tiny beads which gently exfoliate as well as wash my face. It definitely leaves me feeling clean, awake and revitalised. I can't say I've noticed a massive difference on shine on my face per say but I love waking up to washing my face with this wash and it's persuaded me to venture out and try some of the other versions Clean and Clear sell, check this one out here.
Finally, is a skin mask which is called 'Chocolate Mask' I purchased this from Wilko's and it is honestly amazing! It smells delicious, is not very messy at all to say it's a chocolate mask, it's gentle and is still effective. Sadly, it doesn't show up on the website but if you find it anywhere I definitely recommend purchasing it.

Body

Lastly is my body favourites of which two come from the ever wonderful Soap and Glory. They are the mini/travel size versions of 'Clean On Me' which is £2.50, and 'Flake Away' which is also £2.50. These sizes were absolutely perfect for taking on holiday and contained just the right amount for me. The 'Clean On Me' does smell quite plain compared to some of the other body washes on the market, but it is so creamy and gives such a luxurious feeling when using it. Furthermore, 'Flake Away' is quite a gentle scrub compared to other body scrubs but it stills works just as well, possibly even better. The fact it's less harsh leaves my skin still soft and nourished but also supple and smooth from scrubbing - the smell is delicious as well!

Finally, is the Body Shops 'Coconut Body Butter' for £13.00. Now I do understand that's a pretty steep price for a body butter, but it's so wonderful! It smells amazing, doesn't take ages to soak into my skin and fills my skin with moisture I didn't even realise it was lacking. Although I do have to admit I rarely, if ever, get dry skin so I don't often need to moisturise but this tub of magic seems to remind me to do it every time purely so I can just smell my own skin afterwards! (Weird... I know).

Body Shop Seaweed Skincare Collection Review [Combination Skin]

Well first and foremost I'm sorry I've literally disappeared but now all my exams and uni days are out of the way I've been sorting out my blog posts and have a few lined up. I thought I'd start with a skincare review as I've been using this collection since March so I feel I can give an honest review. You can view the whole of the range here. I know the Body Shop is quite expensive but I've bought all of these products when the Body Shop had some sort of deal e.g. 40% off.

Body Shop says this range is

DESIGNED FOR COMBINATION SKIN, OUR SEAWEED SKINCARE. HELPS TO RESTORE BALANCE AND CONTROL EXCESS OIL TO HELP GIVE YOU A SHINE-FREE, MATTE FINISH.

 My favourites of the whole collection are: The Night Treatment which has made a massive difference to how oily my skin is and is something I'm definitely going to repurchase. The Cleansing Facial Wash which I use to remove my make-up and it definitely leaves my skin feeling refreshed and not sticky like others I've tried. Finally, I adore the Cleansing Facial Exfoliator, this is a lot less harsher than the previous exfoliator I was using but still has the same effect! I am also using the Mattifying Moisture Lotion but I didn't want to include it as I've only had it for two weeks so it would have been more 'first impressions' than a review, but so far it's wonderful! A massive improvement from my previous moisturiser.

My not-so-favourites are the Cleanser, I just find it a bit too strong for my sensitive skin and it results in my skin stinging but if you don't have sensitive skin then have no worries! This is the same issue I have with the Toner, and also I find it makes no difference to my skin whether I use it or not. Furthermore, the Ionic Clay Mask is awful for my skin leaving it stinging, dry and is actually quite painful to have on my face after 5 minutes - so if anyone has sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend these products. But, if you have immensely oily skin or normal skin you would be fine.
